jacqui-burnsI spent my childhood listening to radio on Saturday mornings and late nights listening to the American Top 40. Back then Australian music was standing its ground against the likes of any international artist. The evolution and diversity of Australian music is inspiring. With such a wealth of local singer/songwriters, bands and entertainers at our fingertips here on the sunshine coast, the treasure chest of classic oz over the decades and the explosion of deadly indigenous artists on the Australian music scene, I play 100% Australian music.
I am a self confessed festival junkie and have played a part in Woodford and the Dreaming for a number of years as MC, performer and now as part of the festival shop team. Broadcasting a show devoted to Australian music is my dream…and I’m living it.
Catch ‘Local Earth’ Tuesdays nights 8-10pm.

Jenny Blyth on Monday Breakfast 21st June

As well as presenting Local Earth on Tuesday Nights, I also do the brekky show on Monday Mornings. I know, I know… yes, I do get up at some ungodly time of day, usually way before the sun comes up. It truly is a special time of day. I am honoured to have some amazing special guests on the program. One of the highlights so far has been a chat with Birth Support Worker and author of the book Birthwork as well as co-producer for the movie ‘The Big Stretch’ – Jenny Blyth. We talked about the importance of preparation for the big arrival and the book. Jenny has an impressive career of over 30 years in her role and has assisted countless women to deliver their babies at home. Listen in to the interview as it aired…
