That’s us! Both essential to the taste of our stories, yet totally different. We argue, we sulk, we make up and then ride an adrenaline high giving voice to people’s issues in our region. Our shared passion for free speech drives us. Two such totally different people working together mirrors our commitment and is an exercise in human relations.

In a way we’re the perfect match. Diet brings 45 years of professional radio journalism to the project, Mark 15 years of community radio experience, both of us a huge curiosity about and empathy for our community. Diet is terrified of technology, Mark plays with it and has an annoyingly sharp ear.
We are unashamedly partisan about causes like saving the Mary River, the Coastal population explosion and the Kin Kin quarry. Diet is fiercely uncompromising with bullies like the state government, while Mark tries to get them on air to hang themselves.
We’ll cover anything from the makeover of a small terrace to the huge powerlines to come down from Gympie, human interest, both sad and glad and occasional theatre notes.
We spread all of our reports and interviews through 101.3 programming and put them up on our website for those who missed them when aired, or who can’t get the station.
We’d love your hot tips, your community stories and your feedback. Use our email markrzz@bigpond.com and/or the comment box below each web post. You can also leave a message with our receptionists from 9 to 5 Monday to Friday.
