On December 23 2009,What’s Going On? interviewed the mother of Ella Russell about the insanely long wait her 20 month old daughter was having to see a Brisbane specialist to assess her tonsils, which have been infected practically all her life. We sent that interview (below) to Noosa MP, Glen Elmes, who passed it on to the opposition spokesman for health. The girl in this picture is Nicole, the older daughter of Lawrence (VP and presenter) and Becky, at the station while Mum’s in Brisbane with Ella, finally having her operation. It’s a real family day at 4NSA today. Ella’s now gulping solid food with a vengence. Her parents think that our intervention may have helped to speed up the action. We hope so too. This is why we do our program. We are here to champion our community, through the airwaves. We’re glad Endora noticed and published the accompanying article in the Noosa News.
